A Cup of Joy

Let me ask you something:
When your alarm goes off bright (or dark!) and early, are you jumping out of bed or are procrastinating, snoozing, or not exactly feeling pumped to start the day?
I figured as much.
Today I want to talk about your morning ritual, particularly now that it's getting cooler.
Richard Branson's morning routine is certainly one to be admired - rising at 5am every day and devoting time to exercise, family and learning, putting him in an incredible mood to last the day.
What does your morning ritual incorporate? A warm lemon water to rehydrate after a long night's sleep? 5 minutes of gentle stretching or body brushing to get your circulation flowing? Or sitting quietly in your favourite space, breathing into your centre mindfully, and perhaps creating an affirmation or goal for the day?
The options are endless and it's all about you, so whatever makes your heart sing - start every blessed day filling up your cup - your way!
If you set goals that make you want to jump out of bed in the morning - I can assure you, you will. Here's a taste of my rising routine:
A Cup of Joy
1 large glass of warm filtered water
1/4 lemon wedge, squeezed
1 tsp organic apple cider vinegar (look for ones containing beneficial bacteria 'The 'Mother')
1 tsp chlorophyll (a naturally-occurring green pigment with a myriad of health benefits)
Sprinkle of Himalayan or Murray River salt
'If you don't have time for the small things, you won't have time for the big things.' - Richard Branson.
Stay beautiful,
